Laura is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Michigan
and has studied with some of the world’s best harpists. A life-long
love of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach led Laura to study with
Rosalyn Tureck at her Bach Research Institute in Oxford, England. The end results, an urtext transcription for harp of the complete
Lute Suites of
J.S. Bach, became her doctoral dissertation at the University of
Michigan and will be published by Gotham Harp Publishing in April 2012. She will featured at the American Harp Society's 2012 Conference in New York City, giving a lecture-recital on Bach's
Lute Suites.
Originally from Norfolk, Virginia, Laura has made New York
City her home for over 20 years. When not performing, recording or teaching, Laura
enjoys life in the big city with her husband and cat.
